Below
are actual quotes of what interns and volunteers are saying:
"Thanks for the
excellent evaluation, by the way. I got full credit from my
professor."
-Mary, a student from Evergreen
College, class of 2009, on an internship at the
Freeschool Community with the Peace Communities in Spring
“Without
dedicated volunteers there is little hope for anything to get
done. It seems as though the freeschool is going through a
renaissance of sorts. Updating
and creating new systems to ensure
it's success. I'm fortunate to
have stumbled upon it at this
time, and I'm happy to be a part of the process... I
love to connect with people and share a learning space with
them.”
-Leeza, a
student and recent Graduate from Evergreen College, on an internship at
the Freeschool Community in Spring
All Freeschool positions are unpaid and do not
pay a wage or a stipend. We are paid only
with gratitude and thanks from the community and that is payment
enough.
